EVEN as Blabber writes about cheating wives and husbands, make no mistake, our hearts bleed for broken families and ugly scars that such incidents leave behind.
After all, Yours Truly is made up of blood and flesh too!
This is why Blabber feels for this young man of strong rural background who suddenly became wealthy because of what Yours Truly thought was a business venture only to learn recently that it is that other type of ‘business’ that enriched him.
Anyway, how he made his money is a story for another day. A few notes will help you realise this nincompoop I am blabbering about.
He is the same guy who once owned a football team that played lower division football but, just like his days balling in the fast lane, the team did not last long before it crumbled like a deck of cards. I mean the one who once caught his wife pants down but later went to his in-laws begging for her return a few days after the wife had left their matrimonial home following the humiliating incident.
For the benefit of slow learners in our midst, he is the same guy who operates a spacious hangout along the road from our beautiful city to that other mountainous resort area.
Word reaching Yours Truly is that he recently divorced after catching his wife red-handed with a different boyfriend from the one he once caught her with.
This happened, Blabber is informed, after he had gone on a business trip to a neighbouring country, as usual, his generous wife thought she had found a chance to cheat.
Somewhere along the way on his trip, upon being alerted that his wife is having quality time with her boyfriend, he instantly drove back and invited his brother-in-law to ambush the love-birds.
Indeed, they pounced on the love nest — the boyfriend’s ex-Jap ride — where they found his wife enjoying like he had never seen before.
It is after this nasty incident, Yours Truly is informed, that the boy finally parted ways with his wife, joined one of the popular assemblies of God, and legal proceedings that normally follow such incidences are underway.
What is disturbing is that, during the recent ambush, Blabbers’ informants said the wife actually bawled and yelled at him, querying why he keeps clinging on to her when she made it clear to him way back that she is no longer interested in him.
If a sane woman as we all know her, has the temerity to dissociate with such a moneyed young man, what is that she knows about him that we all do not?
Blabber is just thinking aloud!
