Tremors shake Chipinge

AN earthquake with a magnitude of 4,3 on the Ritcher’s scale has struck Manica province in Mozambique and the tremors were felt in some parts of Chipinge district.

Shocked villagers revealed that the tremors were heard at around 7pm.

Mr Moses Zakaria from Ngaone Primary School said the tremors were heavy.

Mr Tarwira Chitombo who resides at Mount Selinda Hig School said rooftops rumbled.

“We were watching television hen we felt the tremors and the subsequent rumbling of rooftops which lasted for a few seconds.

Mr Coaster Maposa from Chikore said the tremors left his family shell shocked.

“The rumbling of the roof reminded us of the tremor that occurred in 2018. My children were  terrified but I  comforted them and told them that everything will be alright,” he said.
