Unpacking the album to Weekender Entertainment, Dorcas said the album carries 11 tracks.

“As usual, we will deliver once again a spiritual and social nourishing product to our fans. We feel we have even pushed the bar a little higher and we are optimistic that our fans will enjoy the offering from start to finish.

“The album is laced with 11 tracks that should speak to almost everyone who dare gives an ear to it. Songs on the album include ‘Tinoungudza’ which seeks to add a voice against the malady of drug and substance abuse that has ripped our societies.

“Then there is the title track ‘Mhanza Haisekwi’, a song that seeks to encourage humanity to everyone regardless of differences in social and economic statuses.

“The third song is ‘Nyika Inodedera’ which seeks to teach people that not everyone will celebrate the success of another person.

“The song ‘Zivai Nguva’ encourages mankind to shun the pleasures of the world and seek God and His desires. The song ‘Nyama Munyegeri’ also seeks to challenge people not to conform to the desires of flesh, while ‘Zvinoda Jesu’ is a gem that features Vabati VaJehova and reminds listeners that every situation requires Jesus.

“Ndipeiwo Mukana’ is a lamentation of one seeking the intervention for a change of fortunes in life, while ‘Tisapedzane’ addresses the endless feuds among Christians that has resulted in divisions in many churches,” she said.

“Zvese Zvinobatirana’ is a reassuring song that shows that in every situation all things work out for good for those who believe in God.

“We also have the song ‘Handiburukire’ which encourages people to be focused on their assignments and never to pay attention to detractors just like what Nehemiah did,” said Moyo.

Caroline Chidzikwe

The title track ‘Mhanza Haisekwe’ is a potential thriller as it features sungura virtuoso, Alick Macheso.

Macheso, who was in Mutare recently, said in a separate interview: “We are happy to be part of the project. As always, we support each other as artistes and we were in Mutare recently to support one of our own,” he said.

Dorcas said she cherishes working with the sungura king.

“He has been so helpful and it is indeed a pleasure and an eye-opening experience working with the veteran sungura musician,” she said.
