The ManicaPost
Caroline Gurira
You have been sniffing,
You have been drinking,
All because of peer pressure
All just to drive away the stress you created.
If you hadn’t spilt water, you wouldn’t have to search for the mop.
And if you hadn’t mixed the pieces of your puzzle, you wouldn’t be cracking your head to join them.
The stress will disappear for a minute after you sniff the white powder
But as you see the sun rising again, your head will start spinning.
You get another satchet,
And then another satchet again.
Instead, just get a lemonade
Yes!
The real you should face the world.
Don’t let the world face the fake you.
If you continue on this path and sniff and drink all you want,
At your funeral we will feast all we want.
When you are gone, lung cancer would have done its job,
Don’t be a slave to drugs.
Stand up for yourself because no one else will
Rise up, sober up and see all possibilities in the world.
Say not to drugs.
