IT took more than five hours for Diamond FM deejays, Kritic Igwee and Annex who were part of the adjudicators at the explosive Battle of the deejays clash held last Saturday at Club 263 to crown the winner, DJ Meek.

The tightly-contested battle saw deejays Ice, Meek, Scratcher and Drastic competing for the coveted prize. Youthful deejay Meek’s prowess and magical touch on the turntables on the night proved that he can raise the Manicaland flag high in the national finals to be held in August in Harare.

“The competition was massive and difficult to come up with the winner especially during the last round between DJ Ice and DJ Meek. It was a successful event. Mutare has got lots of talent. We would like to congratulate DJ Meek for coming out tops and we wish him the best in the national finals.

The festival is conducted in the second week of August at Longcheng Plaza in Belvedere, Harare, Zimbabwe. All festival activities are conducted at key venues within Longcheng complex.
