GOD gave his children different aptitudes, talents, gifts and abilities.
The time to discover those is now.
All of these talents need to be discovered and nurtured. Sometimes they are discovered by other people; your teacher, your parents, friends or relatives; other times it is by you the gifted.
Today the whole world over, hundreds of thousands of young men and women make lots of money for themselves; they do not earn it; because they followed their talent and pursued their gift.
Albert Simango is a 16 year old young boy. He is calm and soft spoken. But there is hidden talent and intelligence lying latent in those tired-looking rather shy eyes.
He is a Leonardo Da Vinci come-back-to-life. He Loves Art and has a sizzling passion for drawing and painting.
Talking to The Manica Post recently, Albert revealed that his life-desire is to live out of his pencil, paint, oil pastels and water colours.
The little Da Vinci got me thinking. How wonderful it would be to promote young boys’ and girls’ gifts and talents, make them visible and expose them to the world out there where serious arts businesspeople are scouting for special arts talents to work with.
Albert goes to Eastern Heights College.
He said it is important that he reveals that he is Seventh Day Adventist within which, he said, he draws his inspiration, his artistic power and intelligence.
All youngsters who feel that they have a serious gift or talent crying for discovery and promotion-please see me as soon as possible.
Art in whatever form, is the silent or hidden part of the school curriculum. It is education. It is engagement of intellect. It is intelligent engagement of emotions and imagination, intelligent use of talent.
