CITY of Mutare says it has now covered 93 percent of construction works in the much-awaited Dangamvura water pipeline project.
The local authority’s spokesperson Mr Spren Mutiwi said: “We are currently working on the third tunnel at the railway crossing near and it’s part of the major outstanding works that we are currently working on.
“We are also perfecting the laying of pipes in areas that were laid long back which had already registered some defects. That has been the major reason which shifted the scope of works and that had a bearing on budget as well since the works were not budgeted for.
“We still have outstanding steel pipes that are yet to be delivered, but the procurement process has already been done. Technically, we have covered 93 percent of the Dangamvura water pipeline project.”
