Crisp, crisp, hooray! Potato chips are a favourite snack of all

POTATO chips are a favourite snack of all. Learn to make a big batch of potato chips easily at home with your favourite seasonings.

Ingredients:

Potatoes

Salt and vinegar

Cooking oil for fry

Water

Instructions:

First choose a large potato.

A potato with a smooth surface and close to cylindrical will be easy to work with.

Wash and peel the skin of the potato.

Peel potatoes and slice them paper thin, add all of the potato slices to a large bowl, and add water so that it just covers all slices let sit for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, line a large casserole dish with a clean terry cloth or other kitchen towel.

After 30 minutes, rinse potato slice to remove starch, then boil water, add sliced potatoes, and cook for one minute, and then line a single layer of potato on the cloth lined.

Use either another clean absorbent cloth or paper towels to pat the top of the potato slice dry, remove the dry slices from towel and add to a bowl or plate for frying.

Heat oil in a large deep skillet, working in batches, add potato slices to hot oil, continuously keep tossing up the potato slices in the oil, until they turn slightly golden brown and/or crisp.

Remove chips from the oil using a slotted spoon.

You can spread it on a large baking sheet or add to a paper towel lined cooling rack or plate and sprinkle with salt and vinegar.

Recipe Tips:

You can substitute other seasonings for salt if you like.

If the potato slices are not cooked until browned, they will not become crisp when cooled.

Plus, they are so much healthier than packaged potato chips since you control the amount of oil and salt!

Enjoy! – Online.
