This year’s maiden clash of Mutare’s finest deejays beckons, starting tonight (Friday), with deejays from across Mutare battling on the turntables.
Three wheel spinners from Tuff Nuff stable, which is led by DJ Ranga, have confirmed participation.
DJs Famous and Silver Vee from Silvibes Entertainment are also part of the line-up.
The potentially-explosive clash ends on Sunday morning.
Chitsa Bar
Situated at Boka Complex in Dangamvura, the entertainment joint this weekend hosts three youthful wheel spinners, DJs Kiss, Nasty and Wizzy who have proved popular among youths in the suburb.
They will perform tonight and tomorrow.
They will be supported by resident DJ, Spillz throughout the weekend.
Raggamanyika outfit, Assegai Crew, will entertain revelers on Sunday.
Christmas Pass Hotel
The Casino (FTT Gaming) is part of the venue’s entertainment and hospitality activities and opens every weekend.
Casino lovers will be treated to some classic music while playing American Roulette and blackjack games.
There is also entertainment for kids which include swimming, face paintings and jumping castle, while guests and clients will enjoy braai and music at the open space.
MiCasa
The new look entertainment joint reintroduces request shows, formerly known as ‘Jukebox moments’, every Friday and Saturday where imbibers request and enjoy their favorite songs.
The shows are led by old and new skool music specialists, DJs Frazer and Terminator. Imbibers enjoy the music while traditional foods and grilled meat is served by Kapoto Restaurant.
The Spark
The newly-opened resort balcony eatery which opened shop in the city’s downtown with an epic performance by rising jazz sensation, WaCharie, this and other weekends hosts upcoming Afro-jazz artistes who will entertain guests while they enjoy their food.
Showgrounds Casino
The joint situated in Chikanga, Mutare, is now a preferred home of casino with gamers having access to over 50 games on the same slot machines.
Classic and old skool music from various selected artistes is played in the casino.
Courtauld Theatre/FC Lounge
Intriguing selected local movies produced and featured by local actors and actresses are aired at the theatre every weekend courtesy of movie producers Eastlife Entertainment who are stationed there.
There is an array of visual and performing arts activities done this and other weekends as well as deejays who will be on rotation in the bar.
