MUTARE City Queens coach Simba Nenhunzi is confident that his charges will emerge victoriously when his side host Harare-based Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) in the Rainbow Netball league match.

The match will be played at Beithall tomorrow (Saturday).

Kick off time is 12pm.

“We are prepared and ready to face ZDF. They are a good side, but we will do our best to beat them. We are ready for the challenge. We know the challenge that comes with playing a strong team, but we have been working so hard,” he said.

Falcon are on the summit of the log with 29 points while Correctional Queens are just a point behind the log leaders.

Beta Queens are 3rd with the same number of points while Ngezi-based Platinum Queens are 4th with 27 points.

ZDF completes the top five with 26 points.

Ruwa Queens have found the going tough and are rooted at the bottom of the log without a point.

They are yet to taste a win.

Another Manicaland representative, Tenax Queens will travel all the way to Kadoma to face Golden Valley. Tenax suffered a narrow defeat when they were dismissed 41-42 by third placed Beta Queens, last week. Coach Naphtali Nyangulu urged his charges top remain focused after that defeat.

“We lost to by just a point to Beta Queens. I told the girls to improve this weekend as we travel to Kadoma. We want to improve on our performance. My set target for this year is just a top 10 finish, and aim higher next season. Some of my players are still adjusting to life in the new league, so I do not want to set unrealistic targets,” he said.
