RESIDENTS in Mutare will have easier access to Covid-19 vaccination after more centres were established to meet the increasing demand.

Part of a notice issued by City of Mutare today reads: “City of Mutare in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Child Care are carrying out a week-long Covid-19 vaccination campaign beginning the 19th of July to the 25th of July. Hence in line with the thrust of achieving herd immunity, in addition to the clinics, we have created additional centres to make vaccination more accessible.”

In Dangamvura, three centres that include Complex, Boka and Mukwena have been established while Musika, Beithall and Old Flea Market (close to swimming pool) will be the new additional centres for Sakubva.

Spar, Mutare-Harlem Sports Field and Acid are the three centres for Chikanga.

Meikles Park, Mudzviti, Mutare Hall, Premier Medical Clinic and PMD offices will cater for the Central Business District.

In Hobhouse, two centres have been set up at Makaz and Magada.

Given the threat to human life worsened by the third wave currently besieging the nation as well as the vaccination requirement for some services and opportunities, there has been a sharp increase of Covid-19 vaccination demand.
