CHEVRONS and Mountaineers fast bowler Tendai “TC” Chatara, who has been out of action for three months due to a biceps injury, says he is missing cricket action.

Chatara said he has recovered from the injury that made him miss national team assignments.

“I am now okay. I want to bounce back into the national and Mountaineers set-up. I have been working very hard and I feel that I am very fit. I have been out of action for a long time. It is always a good feeling to heal. I am excited and strong,” he said.

Chatara last made his national team appearance mid last year before picking up a biceps injury in December while playing in the Logan Cup against Midwest.

The Dangamvura-based star made his  first-class debut for Mountaineers in 2009. Four years later, he made his maiden appearance for Zimbabwe when they played a Test match against the West Indies.

Since then, Chatara has been a regular in the national team. He is also rated one of the finest bowlers in the country.

With all sporting activities suspended in the country due to the coronavirus pandemic, another Chevrons and Mountaineers player, Donald Tiripano, hopes the situation will improve soon so that they can resume action.

“The pandemic has affected our domestic and international games. We just pray and hope that God will intervene soon so that we can play.

“However, when we resume it is not going to be easy since we are not training. Great effort will be required,” he said.
