MUTARE Boys High School captain Keith Muzengeza has challenged his team mates to fight for the top spot  at the Copa Coca Cola national finals in Zvishavane today (Friday).Mutare Boys High School returned to serious business after emerging as the provincial champions in Buhera last Tuesday.

Mutare Boys High School is in group A and Muzengeza is set to lead the team against the hosts Mandava and Prince Edward who won from Harare province.

He said he could shoulder responsibility and help the team all the way to the finals.

“I am happy to be the winning captain at provincial level. I want to say to my team mates as the games start today (Friday) we want to fight for every ball to come out victorious. We are grouped with very strong teams and we need to fight as a team.

“We have been working very hard and we have to play according to our coaches’ instructions.

“Our side is very strong as we have quite a number of players who play in the junior league. I believe we will make it and nothing is impossible,” said Muzengeza.

The defender said although their school last won in 1998, they are ready to bring back the fond memories of 1998.

In their provincial matches, MBHS posted a 4-0 win against Murambinda before suffering a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Takwirira.

They progressed to the quarter finals where they dismissed Bumba 2 nil to book a place in the semis with stubborn St Noah. It ended 0-0 and they progressed to penalty shoot-out were Boys High won 8-7.

In the finals they won 1-0 against Hande Secondary.
