ALL eyes will be on bikers from different parts of the country under the Zim Free Riders banner when they descend on the eastern border city tomorrow (Saturday) for a cancer awareness project that will culminate into entertaining activities at Manicaland Motoring Club.

Mutare-based Zim Free Riders national secretary general, Mudiwa Musenhu, said all was set for the memorable event which will see bikers imparting important information relating to cancer to members of the public.

“We are a motor cycling club which is so much into community development work.

“In regard of the biking rally to Mutare, we are hoping to raise awareness on cancer. We are hoping to put across messages relating to cancer.

“Our aim is to convey messages that relate to early symptoms and signs of cancer for early treatment. This is what we really want to achieve. We expect to play our part in reducing the scourge of cancer in the country,” said Musenhu.

The passionate biker said the Zim Free Riders hope to use the power of sport in promoting good health among Zimbabweans.
Musenhu said they were dedicated to social responsibility work in different communities around the country.

“We all know how sport can be used as a tool for social development, and this is what we want to exploit with regards to cancer awareness.

“Biking attracts attention, and we feel we should exploit that attention to make a positive contribution to society.”
