ZIMBABWE National Army is augmenting efforts to reach herd immunity in the country’s Covid-19 vaccination drive by providing medical personnel to inoculate people in different areas around Manicaland.

3 Infantry Brigade Commander, Brigadier-General George Chitsva said: “We now have our officers on the ground helping in the Covid-19 vaccination drive. We are also concerned with the health security of our nation, hence this initiative.

“We are excited that our efforts have been going on very well. In some areas such as Mahenye in Chipinge there has been very encouraging turnout. We are actually concerned that the vaccines might run short.”
