ORGANISERS of next Saturday’s epic gig pitting Jah Prayzah and Jah Signal at Mandel Night Club in Watsomba say preparations were at an advanced stage urging fun lovers to come in numbers as there will more be more surprise acts.

The two artistes will take turns to serenade fans all night long as part of Watsomba-based businessman, Lovemore Mwandimutsira’s 40th birthday celebrations. Mwandimutsira recently completed renovating the spacious complex which consists of a VIP lounge and stage.

He quashed security fears and urged people to come in numbers.

“We would like to assure our fans that they won’t be security fears. There will be enough police personnel and police dogs as well as our own security personnel who will make sure that peace and tranquillity prevails.

“We also renovated the main entrance such that people will not encounter difficulties when entering, however, we advise revellers to come early as they will be equally enthralling performances before the two main acts,” he said.

He added: “Fans will pay $40 and $70 local currency at the gate — EcoCash and Swipe will be available while more information on the advance tickets will be availed soon. We are happy with renovations that we undertook as we aim to make the complex, an entertainment hub in Watsomba and Mutasa District as a whole.”

He revealed that sungura ace, Alick Macheso and Lionel ‘‘Caff’’ Matanda are expected to perform at the same venue on September 27.

This is the first time Watsomba, which is an administrative and trading centre for Mutasa and located 42km north of Mutare, will host such high profile musicians.

Both Jah Prayzah and Zimdancehall godfather Jah Signal confirmed the show and promised scintillating performances.

Fans will be treated to Jah Prayzah’s hits such as “Dzamutsana mutsana”, “Chengetedza”, “Dangerous”, “Hakata” and “Kumahumbwe” as well as Signal’s “Sweetie”, “Stonyeni”, “Mubako”, “Ishe” and “Unovashungurudza” among others.
