ALL is set for the Diamond FM-spearheaded Osborne Hi-Summer Festival slated for tomorrow (Saturday) at the giant water body.

Various entertainment activities have been lined up to accommodate people of all ages.

Acting Diamond FM head of sales and marketing as well as event organiser, Moses Sibanda said: “We have lined up a number of activities such as boat cruising, colour run, glow in the dark, horse riding, jumping castles, you think you can cook competitions, waterslides with your favourite Diamond FM DJs and presenters taking turns on the turntables.

“As we all know that Covid19 is still among us, necessary containment measures will be adhered to as per the World Health Organisation, and the Ministry of Health and Child Care expectations. Covid-19 vaccination cards are prerequisite upon entry to the event.”

This event was made possible through Diamond FM’s partnership with Zimbabwe National Parks and Wildlife Management, Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, Metro Peech, Booties Pharmacy, Mutare Teachers’ College, Mutare Dry Port, Major Family Savings, Up in Smoke Concepts, Cleverland Electrical Hardware, Molus’ Meats, Kapoto, and other small business entities.

“We have organised shuttle buses to ferry people to and from the venue, and the buses will leave Diamond FM parking bay outside The Manica Post Building at 9am. Tickets are availed at Diamond FM on a first come first serve basis,” said Sibanda.

He further highlighted that plans were on course to make the event an annual activity in a bid to support and promote domestic tourism following disruptions by the Covid19 pandemic, and adopting the tourism mantra: “ZimBhoo”.
