At least 674 Agritex extension officers in Manicaland have received training on implementation of the Pfumvudza Agriculture recovery plan for 2020 being carried by the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Water, Climate and Rural Ressetlement.
Provincial Agritex officer Mrs Philipa Rwambiwa said each extension officer is expected to work with a target of 350 households to contribute towards the production of 235 000 tonnes of maize in the province.
She urged farmers to join the program and work with extension officers for maximum production.
