SIXTY-SEVEN youths graduated at the 2024 Digital Skills 4 Youth Training Programme held at Simukai on Tuesday, with the graduands being urged to continue pursuing excellence in their work.
Minister of State for Manicaland Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Advocate Misheck Mugadza hailed President Mnangagwa for his unwavering vision to empower youths through the establishment of vocational training centres.
“This programme stands as a testament to the extraordinary potential that unfolds when young people are provided with the necessary resources, training, and opportunities. And now, as you go forth, I urge you to take the skills and knowledge you have acquired and put them into practice. Continue to excel, innovate, and push beyond the boundaries of what is possible. The future belongs to you all,” said Minister Mugadza.
Miss Rumbidzawo Madawo, one of the proud graduands, shared her transformative experience.
“I am thrilled to have been part of this incredible programme. The digital skills I have acquired have equipped me for the future and opened doors to new opportunities,” she said, emphasising the programme’s focus on digital literacy, confidence-building and practical skills.
“I have gained proficiency in various digital tools and platforms, enabling me to stay ahead of the curve. The programme’s hands-on approach allowed me to apply theoretical concepts to real-world problems.”
Miss Madawo praised the programme’s impact on her life.
“This programme has been a game-changer, I have gained experience in digital marketing, data analysis, and web development, among other areas. It has given me the skills, knowledge, and confidence to pursue my dreams and contribute to my community.”
As she looked to the future, Miss Madawo expressed gratitude to the programme’s organisers.
